I agree With Mikew2002 on page 1, not only on the hight and width but also the overall file size. There are 2 or 3 avatars here that slows my computer down to a crawl when scrolling by them, and I am on cable high speed....pity those on dial up. Most forums have limits on avatar sizes ranging between 10 and 30 KB, here are 2 examples I found on this thread alone.....to check the size of your's just right click (PCs) on the avatar and click on "properties".

Herb, did you get your issue resolved?

I'm not sure anyone reads this thread as often anymore. So if you have a computer issue that you are looking for help with, there is a thread already started called "Computer Help, Part 2" which is currently running on page 2 of this kitchen.

The ability to disable showing of avatars for users on dialup connections would be nice.

Why are threads locked after 500 posts, I don't see the reasoning behind that.

Hello Aaron,

I messaged you previously..

I have a problem , I posted in the lottery forum in the kitchen forum, and some of the members do not welcome me posting there because I am new. They told me basically that it is a closed group even though it is a public forum, I thought? I am a registered member and a paid subscriber yet they seem to have a problem with a new person posting? Go figures right?

There are other member there from Atlantic Canada as well! Yet they don't welcome anyone new to the forum? That is pretty sad as far as I am concerned!

Would you assist me please with this concern?

thank you, Beth

Elizabeth, I think they were telling you that the lottery group is a closed group, but the thread itself isn't private. The thread is in a public forum, and I don't think you can be stopped from posting in the thread, but they aren't looking for additional participants in their lottery group.

Mary, what is the difference between me posting in the thread and additional participants in the lottery group?

I was posting some numbers and this man Clayton, says that it is a closed group. Which sounds to me like I can't participate. He or Rowena or any others do not have a right to say otherwise: about me posting. It is a public forum and I am a paid subscriber, and as such have as much right as anyone else to communicate with others.

The last time I checked Canada was still a free country and I am a proud Canadian!

For Arron

Kitty here is some info for you. I can see my downhome life acct. no problem. The min i click on the kitchen, it tells me i can't see the server. I can see all other aspects of downhome site but the kitchen, and how do you log in if you can't see the kitchen. This is not the first time this has happened so there is a problem somewhere. Could you please pass this along, I have mailed Arron but there is no reply.
